AMHERST, NY – Citizens will sleep easier tonight as a new task force has been assembled that will focus on finding and subsequently complaining about potentially offensive and insensitive Halloween costumes.
“I’m just so glad that we finally have someone to stand up and remind everyone that they should be offended” said Debra Robinski, a PTA mother at Sweet Home Middle School.
“My older son and a few of his friends are getting together and promise to hunt down each costume featuring Native Americans, African Americans, Muslim Americans and even American Americans”.
To ensure that other insensitive costumes would also be reported, Debra’s son Trey insist the group will review each and every costume.
“If anyone is a character from a tv show that does not feature a black person in at least a recurring supporting role, they will be reported. If they are a character from a show or movie that features a transgender person and they are NOT that transgender person for Halloween, they will be reported. We will not stop until every person realizes they are offending someone!” said Trey.
